A full body workout that moves gracefully without rushing, and leaves you mentally clear and physically rejuvenated. It includes a quiet beginning with some words of inspiration and intention setting, warm ups, standing poses and varied sun salutation flow series, balance poses, exercises that strengthen the upper body and core, deep cool down floor stretches and a deep relaxation. Classes are designed to physically engage and stretch the whole body and improve the ability to focus. This class is for all levels and can be approached in a gentle, moderate or intense way. Skillful step-by-step instructions and a spirit of lightness make this class enjoyable and enriching. Class sequences remain similar from class to class allowing the student to know what to expect and dig deeper into postures and approaches they are familiar with. Gradually new postures, variations and actions are introduced – providing the challenges necessary to keep the spirit and mind bright and the body growing and developing.
In this 75 minute class you will have an opportunity to move, breathe, and meditate with Julianne's gentle guidance. This practice will be based on her signature Flow for Strength Foundations class. It will be a medium paced yet complete work out/in with ample time to become aware of and apply correct alignment principles. Many sessions will also include a special gesture prayer and an inspirational whole body mudra practice. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of synchronizing yogic breathing with movement and meditation. Modifications will be given for all levels. Julianne will give encouraging coaching tips to those who want them.
Offered on the first Monday of each month, this is a time to pause, reset and recharge. We all know how much more patient, focused and effective we can be once we take a few minutes to breathe mindfully, get more aware and reconnect. Enjoy this meditation lunch break. Intended to leave you clear, peaceful and uplifted.
